Choose text or an image
Open the creative workspace. For text, describe one subject, one action and the camera movement. For an image, add a first frame from Elements or My creations. The selected image should appear in the input box before you submit.
Set up your first trial
Choose Kling 2.5 Turbo, a 5-second duration, 480p and one output. Check the price displayed next to the generate button. Longer clips, multiple outputs and other models can require more credits or model access.
Review and submit
Check the prompt, selected reference and total quote. Submit once, then follow the task status in the workspace. Do not resubmit a waiting or queued task: another submission creates another task and credit reservation.
Review the video before continuing
When the task finishes, play the result and check the subject, movement and framing. Keep the parts you like and change one instruction for the next attempt. Save or download the completed video before moving on.

How do free credits work?
The welcome credit grant is available once per person. Account, email and device checks prevent duplicate claims. Your balance and generation quote are shown before you submit.
Free video creation and paid plans
Kling 2.5 Turbo works without VIP membership when your account has enough credits. VIP models require VIP access through an active membership or valid paid credits, plus enough credits for generation. Paid plans provide more credits for continued creation.
Where to find the finished video
Completed videos remain in My creations in your asset library. You can preview and download them there, or use them in another creation. Leaving the workspace does not cancel an accepted task; check its status before submitting again.

A failed task releases reserved credits. Check the task status first, then adjust the prompt or replace an unavailable reference before retrying. If a price or library request fails, use Retry; your selected media should remain. A result that is still being retrieved is not ready to download yet.

Is Kling AI free to try?
Yes. Eligible verified new users can create one 5-second video with the welcome credits. The trial is not unlimited and does not include VIP access.
Do I need a credit card?
No credit card is needed for the welcome trial. Sign in and verify your account to begin.
Which model can I use for the free video?
Choose Kling 2.5 Turbo with 480p, 5 seconds and one output. Both text-to-video and image-to-video are supported.
Can I create 10-second videos for free?
The welcome balance covers one 5-second generation. A 10-second generation currently requires 76 credits, so it needs additional credits.
What happens if generation fails?
A failed task releases its reserved credits. Credits are charged after successful generation; retry only after checking the task status.
